Jovi Sage Whipperman

Jovi is almost 4 weeks now so I figured I should post some pics of her since I have been slackin big time. She was born March 21st at 6:57 pm. The whole labor and delivery was almost identical to Ezra's, even the time. She weighed in at 6lbs 2 oz and they measured her at 19 1/2 inches(which was wrong because they measured her at the Doctors office at 18 1/2 inches) She went down to 5 lbs in the hospital but I think she is somewhere back in the 6 lb range now. All these pics got messed up out of order so they are random. This is the day we brought her home from the NICU when she was 6 days old.

In the hospital.
She went to the NICU after 3 days in the maternity nursery, but turns out she never needed to go in the first place. Since I was on so many narcotics and pain meds they were monitoring her for withdrawal symptoms and thought they were worse than they were, but she ended up being okay. We were upset because they put her on morphine right away which sedated her too much to eat so they had to put a feeding tube in. They ended up stopping the morphine right away and she was able to eat just fine. They finally admitted that they never should have done either. Kyle holding her in the NICU with her little feeding tube. So sad!
Holding my sweet baby in the NICU.
Just thought I would throw this pic of me at 8 months just a few days before I delivered.
Jovi's first bath at home in the kitchen sink.
Ezra loves his baby sister, he gives her lots of kisses and loves to hold her hand.
This is a picture the NICU took of her and gave us a CD of.
Also a pic the NICU took while they were doing the carseat test.
I just love this of Kyle and her, this was in the hospital the day she was born when we were going to bed. Kyle loves to lay her on his chest to nap. (He is actually in the other room as I do this post with her on his chest napping right now.)

Halloween and first snowfall

I know this post is way overdue and I am going backwards but I have lots of catching up to do. This was the first snowstorm of the year so Kyle took Ezra out and built his first snowman, he loves the snow and especially likes to eat it.
Ezra was a cute little golfer for halloween this year, I guess my costume was my feeding tube.
Ezra with Grandma Toni.

We took him out trick-or-treating and he loved it. He tried to open peoples doors himself to get the candy and then he would clap with excitement when he put the candy in his bag.

It was so fun to take Ezra trick-or-treating for the first time!

Christmas 2010

This year was definitely not a traditional Christmas for us since I had to spend it in the hospital, but our families made it as good as it could be. On Christmas Eve, I was surprised with both of our families showing up and we had a little Christmas in the lobby of the hospital where they had a tree. Here I am with all of my nieces and nephews, they all had matching jammies.
Our little family in our Christmas jammies in the lobby of the hospital.Christmas pyramid.
Ezra and Uncle Patrick...I love that huge smile!

Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Whipperman's. Ezra got a cool scooter thing from Gram and Gramp. I was able to see all the fun later on the video camera, it was so fun to watch Ezra with all of his presents!
They came and visited me after they were all done opening presents with both sides and we opened a few together as well.

Ezra playing with one of his presents, he absolutely loves crawling through the tunnel!
Crawling through the tunnel, love that face!

Considering the circumstances we had a pretty good Christmas! I will most likely be in the hospital until I deliver so Kyle got me a Mac book for Christmas so I have something to do. So now I can try to keep up on my blogging!

An update

We are so excited for a girl since this will be the last! Now we can have one of each. I am 16 weeks along now and have not been feeling any better, it has been quite rough and I hope I can survive the next 5 months! I had to get a new feeding tube in last week because my other one broke and I had to pull it the week before. I went a week without it and lost 7 pounds so they made me get another one and it was by far the most painful out of all 5 that I have had total. The baby seems to be doing fine so far. I am not officially supposed to know the sex yet until Nov. 17th but my Dr. was nice enough to quickly pull us into an ultrasound room to take a quick look, the baby wasn't in the very best position and he told us not to paint any rooms yet but he is pretty sure it is a girl!

Goodbye Paradise! Goodbye Life!

Well, Here is where I WON'T be going tomorrow! This is the Marriott Frenchman's Reef hotel where we WERE going to stay in St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. I am so bummed and don't know when we will ever be able to return! We had to cancel our plans Sunday morning after yet another painful pregnancy "episode". It is just way to risky and I am too weak to go anywhere. I have had about 5 of these episodes so far and they have lasted anywhere from 7 hours to 22 hours with no warning of when. I am down 10 lbs so far and by the looks of it will end up with a feeding tube soon enough! So, Farewell to you St. Thomas, I look forward to visiting you someday! Also, farewell to motherhood, wifehood, couponing, and everything else in between! Til we meet again in about 7 LONG months!

Snowbird/Wheeler Farm

A few weeks ago we headed up to Snowbird just to enjoy the mountain air and beautiful surroundings. We hiked around a little and had a picnic.

Ezra liked throwing rocks off the deck.
Last week, Ezra and I went with Mandy and Anna to feed the ducks at Wheeler farm. (Anna didn't really want her picture taken:)
Ezra with the chickens.
The kids and the Pigs.
There were 2 baby goats hopping around so we asked how old they were and they said they had just been born the night before. They were so cute! Anna especially liked them!
The new baby goats.
The kids also got to watch a cow get milked and were able to pet her.

Spring brings new life!

So I think I have told almost everyone the news even though its still a little early so I thought I might as well post it on my blog! I am CRAZY for doing this again but oh well! Considering the pure HORROR I went through last time I am FRIGHTENED out of my mind but way excited at the same time! It took me 11 months and fertility drugs to get pregnant with Ezra so we were sure I wouldn't be able to get pregnant right away! We were just starting to THINK about trying again and...BAM!!! Baby #2 is due on April 12th (Im 6 1/2 weeks). So far I have just had a little nausea off and on, but haven't lost my lunch yet! Last time I got hit with the pain at 12 weeks so I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Here is Ezra's response when we told him the news! As you can see he is a little frightened and shocked! He remembers last time all too well...he had the "inside" scoop! ;)

Wish me luck!!!

Summer activities

We have had lots of fun so far this summer. We have gone to the zoo 3 times, the Aquarium 3 times, swimming way too many times to count, the Liberty Park splash park, The Gateway fountains, Thanksgiving Point petting Zoo and lots of other fun little activities. I was able to snap a few pics along the way.
Ezra loves the fish at the Aquarium.
Ezra and his girlfriend Maddie on a date to The Aquaruim. I love that he is smilling at her!
So cute! This was in front of the penguins but the flash ruined the visibility of them.
You can KINDA see the penguins in this one. Love that smile!
This was at The Gateway fountain. Ezra crawled around like this the whole time (he doesn't like the feeling of the cement on his knees)! His cute cousin Ryder was so sweet and walked around with Ezra and played with him.

My little monkey!
Our 3rd trip to the Zoo was with our friends Nick, Brianna and Maddie!

Our little fam with the Elephants.
Ezra and Maddie on another date. Checkin out the tigers. They even kissed at the end of the date...it was sooooo cute! (At least they had parental supervision:)
