Ezra and Jovi's photoshoot

A few weeks ago I had Jovi's newborn pics taken and Ezra's 2 year pics taken by Kyle's cousin Katie (see more of her excellent work at www.katietorriente.blogspot.com . I love how they turned out. Ezra was not very cooperative but Katie managed to get some cute ones of him anyway.
I love that smile!

This is his little model pose.

We tried to get more of both kiddos but this is the only one that turned out and I love it.
Jovi wasn't all that cooperative either...I had to keep sticking her binky in then pulling it out real quick to get the pictures. Plus she would have her eyes half open a lot.

Thanks Katie, I love them!

A few pics of Jovi.

I just unloaded my camera and thought I would post a few. I am no professional photographer but I was playing around a few weeks ago to tried to get some cute pics. Only a couple turned out okay but I did go get some professional ones done last week. The lighting is not great but she looks cute anyway!

Jovi Sage Whipperman

Jovi is almost 4 weeks now so I figured I should post some pics of her since I have been slackin big time. She was born March 21st at 6:57 pm. The whole labor and delivery was almost identical to Ezra's, even the time. She weighed in at 6lbs 2 oz and they measured her at 19 1/2 inches(which was wrong because they measured her at the Doctors office at 18 1/2 inches) She went down to 5 lbs in the hospital but I think she is somewhere back in the 6 lb range now. All these pics got messed up out of order so they are random. This is the day we brought her home from the NICU when she was 6 days old.

In the hospital.
She went to the NICU after 3 days in the maternity nursery, but turns out she never needed to go in the first place. Since I was on so many narcotics and pain meds they were monitoring her for withdrawal symptoms and thought they were worse than they were, but she ended up being okay. We were upset because they put her on morphine right away which sedated her too much to eat so they had to put a feeding tube in. They ended up stopping the morphine right away and she was able to eat just fine. They finally admitted that they never should have done either. Kyle holding her in the NICU with her little feeding tube. So sad!
Holding my sweet baby in the NICU.
Just thought I would throw this pic of me at 8 months just a few days before I delivered.
Jovi's first bath at home in the kitchen sink.
Ezra loves his baby sister, he gives her lots of kisses and loves to hold her hand.
This is a picture the NICU took of her and gave us a CD of.
Also a pic the NICU took while they were doing the carseat test.
I just love this of Kyle and her, this was in the hospital the day she was born when we were going to bed. Kyle loves to lay her on his chest to nap. (He is actually in the other room as I do this post with her on his chest napping right now.)

Halloween and first snowfall

I know this post is way overdue and I am going backwards but I have lots of catching up to do. This was the first snowstorm of the year so Kyle took Ezra out and built his first snowman, he loves the snow and especially likes to eat it.
Ezra was a cute little golfer for halloween this year, I guess my costume was my feeding tube.
Ezra with Grandma Toni.

We took him out trick-or-treating and he loved it. He tried to open peoples doors himself to get the candy and then he would clap with excitement when he put the candy in his bag.

It was so fun to take Ezra trick-or-treating for the first time!

Christmas 2010

This year was definitely not a traditional Christmas for us since I had to spend it in the hospital, but our families made it as good as it could be. On Christmas Eve, I was surprised with both of our families showing up and we had a little Christmas in the lobby of the hospital where they had a tree. Here I am with all of my nieces and nephews, they all had matching jammies.

Ezra and Uncle Patrick...I love that huge smile!

Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Whipperman's. Ezra got a cool scooter thing from Gram and Gramp. I was able to see all the fun later on the video camera, it was so fun to watch Ezra with all of his presents!
They came and visited me after they were all done opening presents with both sides and we opened a few together as well.

Ezra playing with one of his presents, he absolutely loves crawling through the tunnel!
Crawling through the tunnel, love that face!

Considering the circumstances we had a pretty good Christmas! I will most likely be in the hospital until I deliver so Kyle got me a Mac book for Christmas so I have something to do. So now I can try to keep up on my blogging!
