He's coming home!!!

My brother Patrick is finally coming home from his mission in Costa Rica. His plane gets in tonight at 11:10 pm, so that stinks that its so late! My Dad went down 2 weeks ago to get some missionary experience and to pick him up. They have been able to travel back to a lot of his areas and do lots of fun things. My brother was released to my Dad when he got there so my Dad was his Sr. Companion! They couldn't get on the same flight home but they arrive only 9 min. apart so thats good. Plus they both have a layover in Texas, but one is in Dallas and one is in Houston...bummer! Here are some pics from the last 2 weeks and the last 2 years!
My Dad and Patrick with some of the people!
The day after my Dad got there they went and bunjee jumped. My brother had been planning it for months and since he was released to my Dad it wasn't against the rules anymore!

My Dad checkin out the view!

Patrick with some members...he is holding a bird.
He has always wanted a monkey so every chance he got to hold one, he took!
The beautiful Costa Rican shore line!
Swinging on a natural swing over the ocean!

A baptism.
We are super excited to see him tonight! We have all sorts of fun things planned for this weekend but we ran into a small little bump...my Niece, my Mom, and I all caught the Swine flu!!! Luckily its a very mild case, but still! Kyle is sick too but he tested negative for it and he was sicker than me...go figure! Luckily Ezra is not sick so we just hope he doesn't get it! I have been washing my hands 400 times a day and wearing a mask when I get somewhat close to him. No Ezzy kisses for me...its killing me!

Kyle's 29th Halloween Birthday Bash!

It was Kyle's 29th birthday on October 7th so I decided to throw him a little party with family and friends. Ezra was really good while I slaved away in the kitchen all day.
I tried to get creative and make spooky treats, these eyeballs were made of lemon jello, cream cheese, pineapple juice, and marshmallows...they weren't too bad but not something you would eat a lot of!

I made his cake into a Jack-o-lantern...I just used a bundt pan and made 2 cakes and put them on top of each other to make a pumpkin! It was really hard to frost so it didn't look too pretty!
Kyle getting ready to blow out the candles...I only put like 9 candles on it cause I was too lazy to put 29!

Some of the fam just hanging out!

Preston, Cassie, and their two little boys.

Nick, Brianna, and little Maddie.
Our friend Nic was a lone man...his wife and baby were out of town!
Our little family!
We had a fun day! Thanks to everyone who came and shared Kyle's birthday with us!

Ezra's Blessing

I know this posting is a little late but we blessed Ezra on September 13th. After the blessing we gathered and ate food at the clubhouse.

All the family and friends who came.

My grandma got Ezra a blanket and had his name and birth info embroidered on it.

My cute little man in his little tux!

End of Summer Activities

Mac and Ezra wearing their blue striped terry cloth outfits boating at Echo Lake. What cute cousins, they must have called each other! I love Ezra's little grumpy face!

Last weekend we went hiking up to Mary's Lake with our friends Nick and Briana. We took our subway and ate lunch at the Lake and enjoyed the view. Don't Kyle and Nick look like Mr. Moms with the babies strapped to them? Maddie and Ezra are only 2 weeks apart.

Duck Creek Family Reunion

Over Labor Day weekend we headed down to Duck Creek for a Romero Family Reunion, which is in the mountains above Cedar City. We rented a cabin that sleeps 16 and there were 26 of us (including babies). We had tons of fun just eating, playing games, and just hanging out relaxing! Thanks to my Aunt Leona who planned the whole thing! She even made a "Romero Family Reunion" banner for the front of the cabin!

Kyle and my brother-in-law Shaun headed up to Brianhead to do a little downhill biking. Kyle endoed and hurt his hip so he was done after one run. Some of us headed up to Brianhead later just to hang out and hike around.
Hanging out at Brianhead!

On the way back from brianhead we stopped at this pretty lookout to take some pics!

My brother Patrick was the only one not there out of our whole extended family. He is on his mission in Costa Rica and we didn't want him to miss the family pics so I went and got a cardboard cutout of him, his head ended up being a little smaller than life size but oh well, it was fun having him there anyway!

All of us hanging out playing games!

Since we were all together we decided to have family pics taken. I snapped a few of my own but my cousin Anthony, who is a great photographer, took a whole bunch that I will be getting later.

My grandparents and all their grandkids (including shrunken head flat Patrick)

I LOVE this little face!

Since Patricks head was a little on the small side, I thought it would be better to take some pics with Anna and Ezra since they have smaller heads. I made him a body with some pillows and snuck him into their room while they were sleeping! I have to say it looks pretty good, ha ha!

Patrick has never met Ezra, but he has some pictures with him:)
We had a great time and hope to do it again next year!

Ezra's Photoshoot

I finally went and got Ezra's pictures taken a few weeks ago by Kyle's talented cousin Katie. She did a great job and I love how they all turned out. Here are a few of my favorites.

Thanks Katie!

Caught red handed!

So I was at my moms helping her in the kitchen. Ezra, who was on the couch, started to cry so my mom went to rescue him. I continued in the kitchen and it went suspiciously quiet, then my 2 1/2 year old niece comes over and tells me that grandma is painting Ezra. So I quickly go to the other room and this is what I found!
This is what happens when you leave my mom alone with a baby and a 2 year olds paint markers. Good thing they were non toxic:)
So my sister wanted in on the action too! She felt he needed more hair than Anna was giving him!
The finished product! Poor little baby, or should I say little man, he had no idea how silly he looked:)

Cute little Ezra!

Just out of the bath. So fresh and so clean! Ezra loves his bath time, he always just sits there so content and has never cried while in the bath.

Ezra smiles so much, especially in the morning and I can never get it on camera. I caught a little one here finally!

Ezra with his silly and adorable cousin Anna who is 2 1/2.

Sleeping so peacefully.

Sitting in his new glider with his puppy.
