Utah Lake

This past monday we went boating at Utah Lake for the first time this summer.
Ezra loved driving the boat with Kyle. (Gotta love Kyle's hat:)
I don't know what happened to this picture..it got messed up when I transferred them on to my computer.
Ezra and Uncle Patrick.
That face is hilarious...I guess it was a little bright for him.
Me, Kyle, Ezra, Grandpa Scott, Loni and cousin Mac going for a swim.
Love that sweet face... ...Again, that face!

Monday "Funday"

Now that Kyle has Monday's off of work, I wanted to take advantage and do something fun. This past Monday we started with swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Whipperman's, then went on a hike up Bells Canyon.

Ezra was loving the waterfall, he kept going through it back and forth and just liked to touch it.
Anna and Ezra.
Grandma Toni, Loni and Mac joined us on our hike.
My two favorite guys! (Ezra actually kept his hat on the whole time, I was way suprised!)
Loni and Mac.
Grandma Toni and Ezra.
My little safari boy!
Later that night, we joined Mandy, Shaun and Anna for take-out Cafe Rio on their front lawn! I love days filled with fun activities outside!

Happy 1st Birthday Ezra!

I can't believe its been a year already! This was his very first picture, all slimey...kinda gross, I know!
June 9th, 2009 6:29 pm 5 lbs. 4 oz. 18.5 in.
We celebrated his birthday on Monday evening...this is his invitation.
Okay okay stop laughing at my attempt at a cake. I definitely didn't get my mom's cake making abilities and creativity. This is Ezra's own cake to dive into.
I made cupcakes for everyone else.
We had some family and friends over for a BBQ and pool party at Kyle's parents house.
It was supposed to be in the 80's but it got cloudy and a little chilly.

Sweet face!
Now for the birthday cake. He was so cute when we sang Happy Birthday, he looked really confused at first, then when he saw everyone looking at him and singing he got really happy!
As soon as he had a taste of that frosting he couldn't stop smiling!
Starting slow.
Still smiling!
Diggin in!
Making messes!

All done!
Clean up time. He thought it was so funny when I was spraying him with the water (It was nice and warm)
He couldn't stop giggling!
Present time. He got so many fun things for his birthday!
Of coarse, his cousin Anna had to help too!
All the loot!
Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us! We had so much fun!

St. George

We headed down to St. George for a quick trip after Memorial Day weekend. We planned a little hike up Red Cliffs but when we got there it had JUST closed for road construction. Notice the sign says June 1st-August 1st...it was 10 am on June 1st when we got there...we were pretty bummed!

So we went home, got our suits on and took Ezra to a nearby splash pad. He had lots of fun playing in the water and crawling around.

My little swimsuit model...love the pose!
After the splash pad we headed back to the clubhouse to swim...Ezra's 2nd love. Of coarse, his 1st love is me:)

Later that day, we planned a bike ride on the Quarry Trail but when we started biking the trail, there were stairs and rocks that I didn't feel comfortable taking Ezra on it safely. So we put him in the backpack instead and turned it into a hike.

It was about a 2.5 mile easy, scenic hike.

At the end of the trail there was a really pretty view of the valley.

The next day we decided to take our bike ride on the Virgin River parkway. We rode for about 4 miles and turned around cause Ezra started to get really tired and cranky.

We stopped under a bridge so Ezra could get his feet wet in the river.

Some pretty scenery.

Later on we did the splash pad and swimming again.

We had lots of fun taking Ezra down to enjoy the outdoors.
