Caught red handed!

So I was at my moms helping her in the kitchen. Ezra, who was on the couch, started to cry so my mom went to rescue him. I continued in the kitchen and it went suspiciously quiet, then my 2 1/2 year old niece comes over and tells me that grandma is painting Ezra. So I quickly go to the other room and this is what I found!
This is what happens when you leave my mom alone with a baby and a 2 year olds paint markers. Good thing they were non toxic:)
So my sister wanted in on the action too! She felt he needed more hair than Anna was giving him!
The finished product! Poor little baby, or should I say little man, he had no idea how silly he looked:)

Cute little Ezra!

Just out of the bath. So fresh and so clean! Ezra loves his bath time, he always just sits there so content and has never cried while in the bath.

Ezra smiles so much, especially in the morning and I can never get it on camera. I caught a little one here finally!

Ezra with his silly and adorable cousin Anna who is 2 1/2.

Sleeping so peacefully.

Sitting in his new glider with his puppy.

Introducing Ezra Steele Whipperman

Ezra was born 5 weeks early on June 9th, 2009 and weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs 4 oz and was 18.5 in. long. I went in for my biweekly non stress test to monitor the baby and while I was laying there my water broke. They wheeled me down to L&D and I was dilated to a 3 and the contractions started getting worse. I had to wait a little bit for a room to be cleaned but as soon as I got to my room I was able to get my epidural right away. I slept for a few hours and when they came to check me I was complete and dilated to a 10. We had to wait for the Doctor for an hour and the NICU nurses to come. Once everyone was there I pushed for 7 minutes and Ezra was born at 6:30 pm. My water broke at around 11 am and he was born at 6:30 pm...Not too bad. The delivery was the easiest part of the whole pregnancy!

After he was born, the NICU nurses rushed him to the NICU because of my horrible pregnancy, all the drugs I was on, and his early arrival, he was very high risk for having problems. After an hour they brought him back because he had NO problems and was perfectly healthy and thriving! Right after birth he had a little bit of a fever but that was it! It was a Miracle how healthy he was!
He is 1 month old here. He has a little dimple.

Month and a half old.

I tried to take some pics of him at my moms a few weeks ago and got a few cute ones, but I recently went and got some professional ones taken that I will get back soon and will post some.
He is 2 months here.

My HORRIBLE pregnancy!

To make a really really long story short, I was super sick from 3 months on, but the wierd thing was that I had severe intermittent epigastric pain along with severe nausea and vomiting that would come in "episodes" for hours at a time then I would feel perfectly normal! I had to stop working and go on short term disability because I could not function! I spent a total of about 2 months in the hospital from 5 or 6 different stays and had to go to the ER 6 or 7 times. They took out my gallbladder WHILE I was pregnant, I had 2 EGD scopes down my throat, a HIDA scan, MRI, several ultrasounds on my organs AND the baby, TONS of bloodwork done, IV after IV, was put on SEVERAL medications including narcotics, had a PICC line(which is a long term IV line that goes to my heart) and had a feeding tube for the last 2 months of my pregnancy. I lost 20 lbs during my pregnancy then an additional 10 after. Home health would bring me IV fluids, IV meds, and tube feedings so I could manage my care at home, which they only allowed me to because im a Nurse. I learned how to start IVs on myself pretty quick, I was the Nurse AND the patient, too bad I couldn't get paid for it...ha ha! The worst part is the Doctors have NO CLUE what was wrong because all the tests came back normal! I had several GI specialists, Maternal/Fetal medicine specialists, Internal Medicine Doctors, Interns, and Residents who would come in and tell me they had no idea what was wrong. Oh and my gallbladdder was not the problem so they took it out for nothing! So because there was NO explanation for the EXCRUCIATING pain I was having, I started getting treated like a drug seeker when I would go to the ER. The pain left after I had the baby so we figured it was pregnancy related. Then three weeks ago I woke up at 3am with the SAME pain...it was back out of nowhere! I went to the ER 3 times and spent 5 days in the hospital. They did another EGD, colonoscopy(never thought I would have one of those at 27:), 2 CT scans, gastroparesis study, MRI, and more bloodwork, and still NOTHING! They sent me home with another PICC line "in case" it came back. The pain came and went the whole week and hasn't come back since. Oh and Im going in for an Endoscopic Ultrasound next week. Who knows if it will ever come back or not...its a mystery! I need Dr. House:) So thats the short version, sorry its still so long!

I know these are hideous pics but I will post a few anyway!
In the hospital with my feeding tube.
My PICC line in my arm and feeding tube hanging out of my nose.
The day I got released after 3 weeks, it was Valentines
Day and Kyle brought me a big basket of presents.
7 months pregnant, this was the last picture I got, I never
got around to 8 months, which is when I delivered.
